LO QUE HACEMOS Y POR QUÉ
A ÁRVORE es un proyecto de promoción de turismo consciente, a través de la organización de actividades locales personalizadas de animación socio cultural en la región del Algarve portugués.
Existen varias perspectivas que apuntan para el desequilibrio provocado por un turismo practicado de forma no encuadrada en las características de las poblaciones locales envolventes, originando problemas de orden social y ambiental, entre otros.
A ÁRVORE parte de la constatación de estos desequilibrios, surgiendo como una alternativa para las personas interesadas en disfrutar de todas las cualidades ofrecidas por la región algarvia, manteniendo una mayor consciencia de sus contextos culturales, históricos, económicos, ambientales y sociales, identificándose con el concepto de Turismo Consciente (para más información sobre este concepto, ver link site).
Nuestros objetivos son:

Desarrollar actividades de animación en la región algarvía que supongan una alternativa al turismo en masa, promoviendo el respeto por las comunidades locales.

Ofrecer propuestas creativas de actividades locales en las cuales los/as participantes puedan ser agentes activos de su bienestar.

Disponibilizar propuestas de actividades inclusivas, atendiendo a necesidades e interesés específicos, a través de la construcción de un plan personalizado de actividades

WHAT WE DO AND WHY
A ÁRVORE (The Tree) is a project for the promotion of conscious tourism, through the setting up of especially tailored activities for hosting and keeping up with visitors to the Algarve region.
Various perspectives point to an imbalance caused by tourism practices that are not composed keeping in mind the features of local communities, giving rise to social and environmental problems.
A ÁRVORE (The Tree) stems from the need to address these imbalances, becoming an alternative for those looking to enjoy all the qualities that the Algarve has to offer, whilst recognizing the regions’ cultural, historical, economic, environmental and social contexts, agreeing with the concept of Conscious Tourism.
A ÁRVORE (The Tree) allows for a closer connection with our surroundings, whilst simultaneously favouring the interests of participants by accommodating their needs as much as possible, offering a personalized hosting and caring service.

~ Develop entertaining activities in the Algarve region which offer an alternative to mass tourism so it can promote respect for the local communities.
